The Minnesota Purpose-Built Watercraft and 3D Scanning Project Report by Maritime Heritage Minnesota contains the results of the documentation and 3D scanning of 1 Mdewakanton Dakota birch bark canoe (constructed by Tukantoiciya/John Blue Stone), 1 Ojibwe birch bark canoe, 1 Parkers Prairie Boat Works duck boat (constructed by Joeseph Friet), and the racing sloop Onawa (designed by Ward Burton and constructed by Arthur Dyer). The watercraft are held at the Minnesota Historical Society and the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society. This work was made possible through a Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grant, part of the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund of the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment.
